Tennis player returns to court after torn meniscus
Torn meniscus doesn’t stop tennis player from returning to court
Victor Dubuclet, III has played tennis and golf for over 20 years. One day while on the court, Victor slipped and twisted his knee. The injury resulted in a torn meniscus. He was saddend by the thought he would never play again. Victor sought out options to get back on the court. Here’s Victor’s story:
I was depressed at the thought that I would be unable to play again. After surgery, I started the Return to Sport program at Baudry Therapy Center | BRIO. The physical therapists helped me to get back the motion and strength in my knee and leg. More importantly, they gave me the confidence that my therapy regime would get me back to where I was pre-injury.
They gave me customized exercises to do at home to keep me in top shape. The best part is I feel stronger than before and I have no pain.
The Baudry | BRIO staff is top notch and very success-oriented. Each patient is given personal “hands-on” care by all the staff. Moreover, their knowledge and care of the patients’ needs and comfort level is superior.
Victor is a TRUE success story
Rich Baudry, PT, DPT, OCS worked with Victor and said he was great to work with. “He came early and completed the physical therapy program with consistent effort. Victor knew what he wanted and trusted the process.”
Baudry also noted, “Victor reached his goal because he had strong conviction and a good sense of humor. I’m happy to report that Victor is back playing golf AND tennis.”
“It’s a pleasure to work with people like Victor,” said Baudry. “He doesn’t take his health for granted and understands his effort level makes a significant difference. It’s great to see him out there on the court.”
