The #1 predictor of injury for athletes is a previous injury. So when an athlete is injured, BRIO’s Return to Sport team gets to work with evidence-based care that gives our clients the confidence they need to resume athletic activities.
BRIO’s Return to Sport Program begins with a Baudry Therapy Center physical therapy evaluation to identify the injuries that cause the pain and dysfunction that keeps them off of the field. With the goal of return to sport in mind, our team designs and implements individualized physical therapy and training programs for each athlete.
To help determine the readiness for return to sport, our physical therapists utilize several reliable tools to measure ability and clearly identify when an athlete is ready to initiate a safe return to sport: Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Y-Balance Test (YBT), Hop Testing. The below diagram describes the BRIO Return to Sport process.
