
Blake Cookmeyer, DPT earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Blake earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.
During his time as a physical therapist in New Orleans, Blake has treated patients of all ages with a wide variety of orthopedic diagnoses. Blake enjoys helping the hypermobile community and has developed a BRIO Hypermobility Program which targets patients and clients that are dealing with the challenges of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS). He is certified in both Dry Needling and Personalized Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Rehabilitation. With past competitive experience in both soccer and volleyball, Blake has experience working with local Olympic beach volleyball players, as well as high school athletes in the area.
He currently serves as Location Manager for our BRIOworks Health Performance team, helping employees stay healthy in the workplace and navigate health related challenges. He also serves as the Coordinator of Clinical Education and handles all student experiences at our clinics.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Blake is a die-hard New Orleans Pelicans fan. He currently lives in Metairie with his wife, two sons, and golden doodle, Jrue.
